Silverware Software
We are a mobile software development company that develops iPhone and iPad applications. Because we focus on iPhone/iPad apps, the first impression a potential customer has of our product is the icon that appears on the Apple App Store.
The app the icon is being designed for is a mileage tracking application. The app allows users to track their business mileage and will be used by business customers. The use this app to then report to the taxing authorities the mileage they have recorded. One must keep in mind our app is an iPhone app so it is important the icon catches ones attention and is very attractive. iPhone users really appreciate a beautiful designed icon.
One concept we have is a vanishing road with the image of an iconic car.
Another concept is to incorporate a "mile marker" sign which is should be bright green with white lettering.
We would like the background to be bright ORANGE.
An road shown should be black with white striping.
IMPORTANT: I have included some Very rough sketches. But please do not feel you must follow these sketches. Our last contest with 99designs, we chose a beautiful design which was the artist's original design.
Thank you.
We have made this contest a blind one as we respect each designer's unique work. We have used 99designs before and enjoy working with the very many talented artists.
The icon should portray a clean, sharp look.
4 sizes are need in .png format :
512 x 512 (used on Apple App Store)
114 x 114 (used on double resolution screens such as the iPhone 4)
72 x 72 (used on the iPad)
57 x 57 (used on the iPhone)
The all should be square and not rounded. The rounding seen on the Apple App Store is done by the Apple.
We would also like a large .psd file
