ABOUT THE APP:
The Mac app will reveal the button in the lower left corner of the screen behind a "page curl". The user can configure different actions for the button.
If the button is configured to launch another app, the icon for that app is automatically "merged" into the button by applying a "soft light" filter.
Your button design should have enough room to include the icon later on (sample "Mail" icon is included, see attachments below).
You have about 100x100 pixels, give or take a few. Please take a look at the included screenshot of the mockup (this is the original size).
The button can be partially covered by the page curl.
The button is for a Mac app so it should fit with the overall clean and simple/elegant style of the Mac.
It has to be clearly visible if the button is in ON or OFF, normal or pushed state.
Somewhere the color red needs to be incorporated (it's for a big red button after all).
The button should work with the supplied background texture. You are free to come up with your own background, but in that case it must be part of the final design.
There's an example attached of a button that goes in the right direction (although the perspective doesn't quite work). 2 different levels of "glow" could be used to indicate On/Off states.
4 designs of the button states:
* OFF, normal
* OFF, pushed down
* ON, normal
* ON, pushed down
(optional: custom background if you don't want to use the supplied texture)
FILES TO DELIVER:
(1) Source file(s) with all layers intact (PSD, Gimp, or whatever you prefer)
(2) PNG version of all 4 button states
