From the first design he submitted, we knew right away that he would be the chosen one. He put in a great deal of energy and time into giving our logo just the right look and was one of the few designers who actually read all of our project description.
How Justin Voskuhl started their button or icon journey
I've created a social game for the web and Facebook and I'm looking for a logo as well as a set of matching letter tiles.
The basic goal of the game is to find words on a grid of letters before a timer runs out. Sometimes the challenge is to find lots of words, and sometimes the challenge is to just find a few words that match a particular restriction (words over 7 letters, for example.)
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The audience for this game is kids and middle aged moms. It's easy enough for kids to play, but I also believe it will attract moms that will play through to the more challenging levels. The logo and tiles should be fun, clean, and colorful.
I need colorful fun looking letter tiles for each letter of the alphabet. The Q tile should actually contain a Q followed by a little u like "Qu". I don't care if the tiles use upper case or lowercase - whatever works best visually. I also need the tiles in their "normal" state and a version for their "hover" or "selected" state. I'd like the tiles in 16x16, 64x64 and 256x256. Vector graphics for this would be really great. If the result is in Illustrator format, I can change up the letters and save them out as raster graphics.
In addition to the tiles, I'd like to have a fun colorful logo that matches the tiles. I'm happy to credit the designer prominently in the user interface of the product.
I've attached examples of the tile images I'm currently using that I made using Microsoft PhotoDraw.
