Here's some descriptive language about the "Buddy Voice" that we use to guide our visuals, text, verbiage, etc...
Friendly – not silly
Accessible – not overly technical
Economic - not verbose verbiage
Easy to read and understand
Conversational – not buzz wordy
Business value focused
Customer centric – about what you can do
We like bold colors, and designers should take a look at our website as well as free-standing banners that we've had designed to get a sense of what we've done in the past.
NOTE - we are not interested in redesigning the logo, but there should be nothing about the website or banners that designers should consider fixed. The logo is fixed, nothing else - and we're VERY open to design ideas that leverage the logo and colors and go in a different direction, if it is visually appealing and makes sense.
That said, the iconography showing various devices that we support (see the website homepage) is effective, and I think that if we don't use those, we should use them as a guideline towards iconography that should find its' way into the design.
