How lharvey r started their business card journey
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
http://www.californiawaters.com We are currently redesigning this website. The goal is to pull in interesting vivid photography paired with sparse, sensory stimulating copy to activate emotional triggers. Once hooked, factual information would serve to support decisions. Website is great to see the types of water features we create, but the design is very outdated.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the business card?
We need to keep the logo as is. Logo colors are Hexachrome Cyan, PMS 304, 286, 299, 431 and Black. You can add a darker blue as long as it is in the same 'spectrum". I'd like to supplement our logo with a graphic image. One thought that might be too instinctive is including the excitement of a photo of splashing water along the side/edge of the card. See attached "Donation Card" . I do not want all design submissions to only follow this theme though - I'm open to a great new concept. Fountains and water features create water in motion and I would like to somehow capture that artistry on our business card as well as brand ourselves as cutting edge. Am also open to having the wrench in the middle of our logo be more detailed.
Brand name to include on the business card
What to avoid
Do not replicate the look of our current website - we are completely redesigning it. I'm attaching our current card - we do not want this look either. Would like to move to a more professional, cutting edge look. I don't want to use a specific fountain or water feature because we do so many things - I'm hoping there is a way to utilize "water" to get across the full concept. I attached some of our newer water features.
