We are an inn/bed & breakfast style lodge with an excellent reputation for guest service and modern amenities. The inn's location is 6 miles from the coastal town of Mystic, which is the biggest tourism draw in Connecticut. Because Mystic has many inn's emphasizing the coastal theme, we emphasize our very private, quiet woodlands setting filled with beautiful gardens and wildlife. One thing that makes our location special is that we are nestled between two Native American reservations. The inn is Connecticut Green Lodging certified. We pride ourselves in providing an organic, healthy, and environmentally-conscious experience for our guests. The food we serve is organic as are the bath amenities in the rooms. Parts of the inn include reclaimed lumber which gives it a lovely lived-in feel. We like to encourage our guests to be active and take advantage of the area's hiking, kayaking, and beach opportunities. There are miles of onsite hiking trails starting on our property and linking up with a trail network developed by the Pequot tribe, including the trail to the top of Lantern Hill. Lantern Hill, our namesake, is one of the nicest hikes in the area, and was a spiritual and lookout spot for the local Native Americans long before the Europeans arrived. Our Target Audience are primarily couples aged 25-60, who are socially-conscious, adventurous, financially comfortable and looking for an experience that is authentic, unique, immersed in the local culture, and slightly rustic/offbeat, but not overly so.
