Svanderplas got their new brochure by running a design contest:
Design the next brochure for Game Programming Summer Camp
Check out Svanderplas's Brochure contest…
1. Boys, Grades 3-8. That's ages 9-14. 2. More importantly, their parents, especially their mothers. Many target families are well-educated middle- and upper-class. Interests: computers, programming, gaming.
Mothers should come away thinking, "This camp is safe and fun. It's a great way for me to get a week off." Boys should come away thinking, "This is the most exciting thing I have ever seen." Uploaded photos from last year's camp. I expect that stock photos will be of more use. The feel should be youthful and fun, but not too immature. Feel free to incorporate ideas from the logo, though this is not absolutely necessary. This is not necessary, but I am open to ideas about a mail-in registration tab for parents to cut off and mail in with payment. It would need to include many of the fields on the uploaded 2010 registration form, but on only one of the six sides of the brochure. I am open to gathering fewer fields. More information: http://www.heights.edu/summer-camp/game-programming-summer-camp/ I've uploaded more ideas in a text file.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Brochure starts at $299.
Full copyright with production-ready files for digital and/or print.

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Svanderplas collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
