How smoqtruq started their logo & brand identity pack journey
Who are you known as?
What’s your company slogan?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This is a mobile food truck in an emerging market. This is not an Austin or a Portland, but it wants to be. I'll have to balance between fairly conservative and mainstream, as well as attracting the gen x'ers and hipsters.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Food & Drink
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I want chalk on chalkboard. I want a Food truck behind or above the logo. My preference is a little more filled in than a pure sillouette. I am driving a Chevy P30 with a side service window for a reference point. I want a distressed font that appears somewhat hand written like you are walking up to a sidewalk chalk menu, NOT CURSIVE, not fancy. I JUST want name and Est. 2017. I want an angled truck that implies motion.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
I love this one. It seems like a distressed wood mixed with a chalkboard. This has the feel I am searching for. The words are fluid, but easily readible.
I like the traditional look, with the fact that it could easily be accepted by Gen-X/y/hipster
Very simple. Memorable, brand differentiated.
I want it to look like Chalk on a chalkboard. Smoq Truq needs to be on the same line, not broken on two. There needs to be a little space between the 2 words, but you can play with how much. NOT Cursive, not Fancy. Err towards the blocky, but I want the chalkboard font to be distressed, and to appear somewhat hand-written. The "Q's" must look like "Q's" and not be confusing with "G's" Keep in mind that some cursive fonts makes the "q" look like a "g", or at least confusing. I would like options with and without a sillouette of a Chevy P30 Stepvan in the background.
