DancingHorse Studios listened to my feedback and gave me several new designs to choose from. They were great to work with. I love my new logo!
Worked with him for the second time and would definitely do it again.
Very happy with the design. Thank you
Excellent work, and great responsiveness. Easy to work with!!!
How SaltyPaul started their logo & brand identity pack journey
Who are you known as?
Sea Salt Superstore
What’s your company slogan?
Purveyors of Exotic Salts (or none)
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We produce some of the highest quality and most diverse infused salts in our industry and some of our most popular salts are as followed:
Smoked Bacon Chipotle
Smoked Maple Bacon
Smoked Pepper Bacon
Spicy Garlic Pepper
French Citrus Fennel
Saffron Fluer de Sel
and more more exotic salts
Many top chefs consider the naturally produced Smoked Bacon Chipotle to be the best infused salt in the World since it add dynamic flavor and aroma to food dishes. Himalayan cooking bricks and specialty salts are great sellers during the spring and summer grilling season.
The current website is http://www.seasaltsuperstore.com and while it is a bit dated, it does have all the products we sell. We hate that logo though (it looks like MS Word clipart with gradient shading :) and it doesn't work well.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Food & Drink
What colors do you want to see in your design?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
The letterpress, formality and colors.
Typography. The addition of years and location into logo.
Roundness plus the ribbon tag.
Block letters. Feels robust, balanced. Sits well on white packaging or background. Don't like the greens but perhaps in some other color schemes.
Logo sits nicely on a square label for specific products.
The current logo for our premium salt line. The fonts look amateur but the ship icon (or a refreshed version of a Caravel Ship) would be nice to include as a mark.
I like the idea of a square mark + a two line name of the company as a logo. The mark might be something creative and sea salt related (not a shaker please). Perhaps a caravel ship or pile of salt or some creative play on the initials SSS. Blues/Grays for the mark
Our Superstore is called Sea Salt Superstore where we sell both our primary product line (Caravel Gourmet) cooking salts along with other products such as bath salts, private labels and other misc items.

Our primary product line is called Caravel Gourmet (I've uploaded a logo) which we are debating whether to just lead with that name as part of a brand refresh since we plan to expand beyond salts and into other categories such as spice and herb blends. In all cases, we need something that is clean, looks premium/gourmet and could scale to product lines beyond salt. I've uploaded our current logo, some sketches for a new jar we're considering. And below are listed some brands that I think inspire me when I think about premium salts.
* Jacobson Salt Company
* Maldon Salt
I don't want to see anything with a table salt shaker in the design please :)
