We are not a "country club" financial planning firm. We pride ourselves on being down to earth, regular, middle-class, individuals, who work with and help other middle-class families. We attract the "Millionaire Next Door" type of client. We often refer to ourselves as a boutique financial advisor/planning firm.
Once we earn a client, we keep them. We have a very high retention rate, but we are not good at marketing, so up to now we have grown mostly through word-of-mouth.
On July 1, 2018, we will celebrate our 19th anniversary. We are going to start a marketing campaign for our 20th year in business. Part of this campaign is to redesign and "freshen up" our logo and brand.
We have had the same logo for all 19 years. We would like to keep some tie to our current, for legacy sake, but we are not married to that idea.
We want to use our new logo in two ways 1) For one year, starting in July, 2018, we want to unveil our new logo, with a "20 Year" banner, attachment, or overlay (I hope I am describing it properly) on it. 2) After one year, culminating in our 20th anniversary celebration, we will remove the "20 year" overlay from our logo, and use the new, underlying logo/brand going forward, but without reference to the "20 years". At least that is our plan. Maybe the logo should say, "Since 1999". We are open to all ideas.
