Venus Homes builds residences for very high net worth individuals and families. Venus Homes is the new name for an existing firm that is rebranding. The existing firm is named Pacific Excel. Venus Homes leadership brings an empathetic understanding of what very high net worth households seek in a purchase -- that of a primary residence -- so closely tied to identity. In locations and with features to appeal to those with the means to select the very best, Venus Homes are spacious, luxurious, well built and certified to meet high standards of environmental friendliness. Venus Homes customers are typically C-level executives of well known tech companies. They are sophisticated and have very high expectations. Logo concepts should attempt to communicate the feelings among our buyers about the homes we produce, rather than capture the fact that we're building homes (logo concepts should probably not include literal features such as elements of a home, since such a literal image might be too obvious and/or boring for our customers). Owning a Venus Home could imply that you are at the top of a long and successful career, and choosing a home is primarily about how the home reflects on your achievements and values.
At Venus Homes, we are driven by innovation, as we aim to bring the brightest thinking, technology and innovation to the properties we develop. In mythology, Venus represents beauty, balance, and creativity, which are at the center of our design philosophy. Ven, from Old Dutch, means “green leaf,” emphasizing our focus on the natural surroundings and landscape of our properties and our commitment to building environmentally friendly homes. I believe that the logo should incorporate a leaf or leaves in order to emphasize the environmental friendliness that sets apart Venus Homes from competitors. I believe the font should be something modern, sans serif, to suggest the technical innovation, modern design, and build integrity of our homes. Though the planet Venus and the mythological goddess Venus factored into our selection of the name Venus Homes, the logo's visual emphasis should not be on the planet nor the goddess, but rather the origin of the name Ven, which means "green leaf" or "green plant." I uploaded a simple sketch of what I have in mind done in Google Slides. The Venus Homes brand should inspire feelings that strike a balance between integrity (high building standards) and elegance (great design).
