They are a Solar Installation Contractor startup who sells, designs, installs and maintains solar systems. Does agricultural, residential and commercial. Their target is a younger audience, left political party leaning (understand environmental aspects), or business minded individuals with some capital (understand financial aspects). Individuals that are new homeowners, individuals that have new shingles/roofs. Companies/farmers that have had very good financial years, and have tax liability. Companies that own their building, or long term leases. Farmers with chicken houses.

They want a "simple, memorable, natural feel" logo. They love the look of mountains and twilight (sunrise or sunset). The yellow sun & rays is grossly overused in their industry and they don’t like it. Instead, you are to use the soft orange/pinkish glow of the sun if they even choose to use a sun in their logo. (See examples attached) — They like the colors and design of idea 1 the best. They like the design of Idea 7 as well, but NOT the purple color — they like the different shades of blue in Idea #1. *Important Note: This logo will also be going on the side of a white van. So this is what they said: "Maybe a version for print that’s dark, with a version that can go on a white van may be the way to go? Maybe using the circle of idea 1 as the boundary of the logo, and leave the background white with blue lettering?"

The Earth Model - Brand Identity

The visual style of the brand is transitional that combines modern and traditional, clean with textured elements, fine detail with a relaxed and inspiring colour palette. The goal for the brand is to portray: passion, wonder and precision. The logo concept started off with the idea of having a humpback whale and the Moon. The whale together with the birds and roots reflect the animal kingdom as a whole. The bird life reflecting Sky, the roots reflecting Land, and ocean life reflecting Sea. The animals are migrating in the same direction together. This unity of movement symbolize a world in union, moving together as one and gives life to the Philosophy. The Philosophy is a vision for a sustainable planet. The little philosopher with the obvious gaze up towards the sky represents humans, as part of the planet and of the animal kingdom. We need to look up with curiosity, wonder by asking ourselves the very biggest of questions, and then work out the solutions, together as a species.
