Hedge Fund, catering to high-income individuals. The target market is 35-45 years old professional male and female. This hedge fund does not target institutional money or fund of funds.

"Leaven", in Leaven Partners LP, comes from the leavening agent used in artisan bread baking. As it applies to the hedge fund, it points to a simple (not esoteric) investing approach that is forged in patience, attention to detail, and trusting the process. As in artisan bread baking, the hedge fund focuses on the controllable factors. Leaven Partners, LP is focused on trusting the process (i.e., staying committed to the strategy even if it's not working for a short period of time); being extremely patient; focusing on the factors with are controllable: namely, price. To be even more specific on the fund's strategy (which may or may not be helpful), it is a simplistic quant fund that is designed to arbitrage human nature. First and foremost, the logo should appear sophisticated and professional as it does represent a hedge fund. However, (for those designers daring enough), I leave it to a designer to attempt subtle incorporation of the ideas and symbolism of artisan bread baking: the importance of time, patience, and attention to the process. I am not a huge fan of Serif fonts not because I don't like them but because I feel they are a bit overdone. I'm not saying don't do it in a Serif type, but I may be biased against it.
