My current website is kevinbgibbs.com. I would like to keep a similar color scheme but the logo should be completely different in style. Kevinbgibbs.com is what I would consider an example of a divorce litigation logo. I helped design it many years ago but practically nothing about that logo will translate into what the new logo should look like, except maybe the color scheme.
Divorce mediation is a law related field but the logo should distinguish it from divorce litigation. The logo for my divorce mediation practice needs to convey knowledge, trust and honesty and confidence because divorce is a legal process. At the same time, the logo also needs to convey empathy and compassion because people going through the process are going through a difficult time and are looking for that.
Divorce litigation is mostly a necessity for people trapped in that process and the logos for divorce litigators reflect that. Divorce mediation is more of a consumer product. Divorce mediation as a filed is emerging so I'm not really even sure what consumers are even looking for, as far as logos go.
The Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM) has an interesting logo for mediation but that is just an example of one thing that I saw. Google them and you can see the logo, if you like. I'm open to any creative design but it should not look like a traditional law office logo.
I have a company preparing to launch the new website, gibbsdivorcemediation.com, along with a social media campaign, so I'll need a complete package for the website, social media sites, business cards, letterhead, etc. Thanks.
