We would like the ability to customize the logo to reflect each of the three different levels and to have each level clearly indicate how advanced the participating business is. For example, the logo could feature a tree with three unshaded portions; each level achieved would shade in a new portion until the tree is fully colored. Other possible ideas include three different colors, light green, green and dark green, or a growing tree. Another idea is a circle that fills in by a third with each level - thinking of a full circle concept. WE REALLY WANT YOUR CREATIVE THINKING. PLEASE DONT FEEL CONSTRAINED BY OUR TREE OR CIRCLE IDEAS! :)
The logo should be either square or circle, and we would recommend using shades of green, white and black as the primary colors. It should be simple enough to be on a store window and be clearly recognizable and legible from the street. “Natick Goes Green” and the level name (Partner, Advocate, or Champion) should be written in the logo, but not too large to distract from it. The generic logo used for publicity would look complete like the third and highest level but not have any words regarding the level. It should also include a blank area that we can update to reflect the year on an annual basis (similar to a “Best Coffee Shop 2015” type of logo/badge). Since our organization will have to update the logo annually to reflect the new year, we would ask you to use a common font.
An “earthy” or sustainable symbol should be the main focus of the graphic portion of the logo; however, we do not want the recycling symbol to be featured.
