Create a new Brand for Ocean Front Hotel

We are 48 room boutique hotel on the Southern Oregon Coast catering primarily to tourists and those staying for longer periods of time. 36 of our elevated rooms are ideally situated 300 feet from the Pacific Ocean providing easy access and unobstructed views of the ocean. Every year we have more than 30,000 gray whales that move through the area during their annual migration. Females, 35 to 75, are the primary audience making hotel bookings.

I’m open to ideas on the type of logo that’s best for my brand. This logo will be used on branding and exterior signage. Signage needs to read well. Please see the attached picture for sign. Additional Thoughts: 1) If depecting a whale you should concentrate on 'Gray Whales'. 2) There may be potential to use binoculars or someone using binoculars searching for whales as part of the brand. Or, you may choose to use a combination of some form of a whale while someone is looking at it using binoculars.
