This is a brand re-design/re-boot and we would like to transition/change from our current brand (images attached), which looks too young and "frat house", to a brand that is more classic, mature, sophisticated, rustic, warm and reflective of our high quality beers. Run with your ideas and don't feel constrained by what we currently have. We will need to use the new logo on signage at the production facility/brew pub restaurant, on the website, Facebook page, restaurant menu, letterhead, business cards, trucks and ultimately on the kegs, bottles and mugs/glasses that the beer is delivered and served in. Looking for inspiration? Check out http://www.ohbeautifulbeer.com
The new brand should join traditional with modern. See the attached original design brief, which still holds true. We want the brand to have a bit of an edge that is consistent with the entrepreneurial spirit of the craft beer industry (but not too much of an edge as we are warm, rustic, sophisticated and refined first and foremost). It should invoke a sense of perfectionism joined with being fun and laid back. We care about the details (we make great beer and have great food, great people and a great atmosphere where everything is taken care of) while at the same time drinking craft beer should feel relaxed, fun, laid back, adventuresome and convivial. We want people to think "that looks like a 'cool' brand, beer AND business. I can't wait to check it out. I bet the beer is going to taste great".
We would like to keep the "B" as part of the design as well as the name "Brewhouse" and "Lac Léman" (this is the area in Switzerland where we are located). If possible, we would like to have some sort of house/building to represent that we are both a pub and a production facility (a 'brewhouse'!). The current image has too much of a frat house or home/house feel to it. If a building is included in the logo, perhaps it could be more like the building where we will be located (the white building in the middle with shutters on it):
If this link does not work, the address in google maps is: Rue d'Yverdon 14, 1023 Crissier, SWITZERLAND
We are open to your great ideas! Good luck to everyone who decides to participate in this contest.
