It was clear from the outset that Ana had carefully read our brief and translated our thoughts into exactly the sort of images we were hoping for, introducing plenty of useful ideas. She kept in communication throughout, even in the initial stages of the design which meant we were able to visualise the final product before committing, patiently amending the logo. As a Community run shop we are accountable for our decisions and spending and this dedication was reassuring and gave Ana the edge when it came to the final contest as I felt we had already built a relationship-

We are a small batch bean-to-bar chocolate maker and confectioner. Our target market is people who appreciate fine quality chocolate and seek unique experiences and who are not price sensitive.

We would like the designer(s) to consider the possibility of using high contrast colors, including a possible black background. My favorite color is chartreuse, but we're interested in seeing what the creatives come up with. We would prefer contemporary styles and clean lines.
Cacao is grown in equatorial, tropical climates (20 degrees north to 20 degrees south latitudes). We will be using cacao from all over the world, not just one region. Every region has its own terroir, just as fine wine. Some chocolates will be very 'chocolaty' while others will have hints of fruit or tobacco.
We will sell the product through distributors to organizations akin to Whole Foods and specialty retailers.
Not that it matters particularly, but we are based in the Seattle area of the Pacific Northwest.
