5 Perry Street is a boutique hotel originally built in 1879 in America's first seaside resort, Cape May. 5 Perry Street's location across the street from the beach provides beautiful, unobstructed ocean views from the building's dual wrap-around porches and third-floor dormer windows, right in the heart of Cape May's National Historic Landmark district. Our Victorian inn lies in easy walking distance to all of the best restaurants, ice cream parlors, cafes, bars and retail shops in town. We are lovingly restoring and painstakingly renovating this charming painted lady - furnishing each suite with luxurious king-sized beds, full bathrooms, and kitchenettes. Most of the ten luxury suites have ocean views, and many have private porches and/or direct views of the sunset. 5 Perry Street's porches are the perfect venue to enjoy a summer cocktail as the sun sets over the water, or to catch a cool breeze and the sun's rays while finishing a captivating book. Our first floor parlor and event space will host art exhibits, book readings and signings, celebrity chef dinners, wine tastings, wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners, and all manner of reunions and gatherings. For our decor, we are maintaining 5 Perry Street's original Victorian details and craftmanship, including hardwood floors, plaster walls, high ceilings, archways, and a dramatic staircase, as well as incorporating modern, sophisticated touches, like full bathrooms in each suite, designer tiling, bespoke wallpaper, and hand-painted wall designs. The logo and branding package you develop will be the face of our boutique hotel as we move from renovations and construction into marketing, operations and our opening day. This fall, we are launching a Kickstarter campaign, building our social media presence on Instagram and Facebook, and driving reservations for our first summer season coming in 2018. These branding materials will be seen and admired by a broad audience. Your beautiful design will complement our boutique brand and inspire treasured vacation memories and guest loyalty for decades to come. We can't wait to see your ideas! Below are the building colors and our general theme colors - you should know them. If you have a completely different concept - like silver incorporated like metalwork, or a dark gray/black color like ironwork, or a cream evoking plaster molding, etc., by all means go for it - but there should be a reason and it should complement the colors of the building listed below. 5 Perry Street's main exterior of building will be Behr P430-1 Summer House, RGB Value 200:239:228 The roof will be in Victorian fancy cut cedar shingles in Behr P160-6 Intrigue, RGB Value 189:075:072 Those are our two main colors, would be great to incorporate in your design. Accents in Behr P430-3 Green Parakeet, RGB Value 123:213:192. Other colors are charcoal gray and linen/cream, and there will be lots of metal in brushed nickel. Anything in those palettes would be great.
