CanGo is a ride hailing company in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo that will evolve into on demand services platform designed specifically for urban Africa’s affluent, middle and bottom of the pyramid classes. CanGo is a convenient, affordable and safe mean of transportation to go from A to B. CanGo also enable you to get food, a hairdresser or anything you might need to be delivered at your doorstep via a couple of clicks. The service provided is similar to Uber and SafeBoda in terms of transportation and similar to GoJek, Rappi, and Glovo in terms of goods and services provided.
TARGET AUDIENCE Kinshasa is a giant city (actually the largest French speaking city in the world) with a massive problem regarding transportation: because of the poor road infrastructure, the buses and shared taxis are in miserable conditions, the supply of public transport is too low for the demand, and as a result people end up walking or taking street motos which have no driving licenses and cause many accidents. On the top of that, there is a risk of kidnapping with public transport. Regarding the population, it goes from very low income to high classes without a proper middle class in between. CanGo will offer multiple services that increase convenience (services on demand) and transportation access able to appeal to all budgets and the name of CanGo. Currently, the majority of the population is not very techy and has never used a smartphone or Uber for example. Hence the logo should take this into consideration (we don’t want people to get a headache figuring out what we are doing). *For transportation* Our clients will be businesses or individuals who need to be on time at work, housewives who have no access to the family car because it’s already occupied or either have a small errand to run, parents who don’t have time to drop their kids at school by themselves, young people who need a ride home after partying, expats who want to get around the city, students willing to go to school on time, anyone who wants to avoid the traffic jam. Again, we will initially start with motorcycles but in the long run, we will evolve to other means of transportation. *For on-demand services* Our clients will be people who prefer to consume services (e.g. hairdresser, food, massage) in the comfort of their home, who want to avoid the heavy rain, the traffic congestion, the pain of finding a taxi, or who have a strict schedule. or just want to save time. Characteristics of the logo: - The logo has to be designed for the city of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo but should take into account markets expansion (in other African markets) and services expansions (evolving from transportation to on-demand services). Attributes of the brand: - Can is an enabling word, Go is an action word. - The marketplace is not crowded with other well defined brands so the competition for recognition is low but it is possible that, in the future, other brands such as Uber would arrive. - The logo needs to be recognizable instantly and from a distance. If you have an idea for a tag line, feel free to suggest. - Flexibility: It will be able to have a large number of services unified under it (CanGo Cabs,CanGo Motos, CanGo Food for example). - Not too complicated (easy like our services). - Key traits will be: playful, a lifestyle brand, cool and aspirational. Keep in mind the logo will be used for our app (Apple Store and Android), social media, website, blog, as well for the cabs, motos, helmets and safety jackets.
