Author biography
Alejandro Sosa Hernández was born in Green Bay, WI, and attended a project-based charter school in West De Pere. For him, creative writing was a hobby that got out of hand; he began writing fanfiction in the sixth grade and then never really stopped. As the child of Hispanic immigrants and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community himself, he believes accurate and uplifting representation of marginalized communities is extremely important. Where Did the Good Americans Go? is his first novel.
Book description
When his immigrant parents don’t come home on his birthday, Lucas is worried — and when his mobster coworkers tell him they’ve been incarcerated, Lucas is panicked. Determined to rescue them, Lucas embarks on a thrilling, arduous, and sometimes funny journey that will irrevocably change not only his own life, but the history of his country as well.
