Check out donald.ash.30's Book cover contest…
I give people a foreigner's take on life in Japan and show them what life is like, what teaching is like, what learning Japanese is like in a fun and interesting way (mainly blog posts and videos).
What's your vision?
I am creative a brief, informational ebook called the "You Wanna Teach in Japan Question Book" for all of my audience members called the who are interested in teaching in Japan. I want it to be an in that is COOL, FUN, CREATIVE and GRABS ATTENTION (possibly clicks). This is a digital ebook cover and I would like to see in the standard pdf page size and see what it looks like in landscape format too. I want this to be cartooned, sketched or painted. In my mind I see a picture of my mascot-Hyokun (see below)-in a cool suit and tie, in a thinking pose or maybe even pointing at the audience. NOTE: To the right designer. If I really like your illustration/cover this WILL lead to other future covers/designs (at a fair price of course) as I have several projects that need to be done, all related to this one. PLEEEEEEASE MAKE ME SOMETHING COOL! We'll communicate as much as possible to get the best possible design
I would like to use "Hyokun" (see video links below and images to find out who he is) as my mascot for my lead-in. I want to be cartooned, sketched or painted. I want to see him in a suit, like a teacher, looking cool or funny. Maybe rubbing his chin like he's thinking. That's where I need the cool designer part of you to come out. Make Hyokun's face as accurate as you can. He's a Japanese deity that I use to make vids sometimes. I want you to check out my website www.thejapanguy.com to get a feel of my style and sense of humor. Here are some recommended articles/videos to see: https://youtu.be/rbhRxgq5qAs https://youtu.be/l5dMY6_j6Z4 http://www.thejapanguy.com/why-teach-english-in-japan/ http://www.thejapanguy.com/ten-days-of-japanese-school-lunch/ http://www.thejapanguy.com/what-teaching-superpower-do-you-have/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obTw59GGv5A I'm am attaching some different styles of art that I reallly like. The first two pics are what Hyokun looks like. I was thinking of the pose being Hyokun with one hand on his hip and his thumb and forefinger stroking his chin. The other idea was like the one of me in the suit below in front of a blackboard. This is just a loose guide. If you make a kick-ass cover that breaks some of my fuzzy rules I'll still may choose it.
