Unstuck and Unstoppable: Simple 5 Minute Hacks to Break Free from Fear, Stress, or Hopelessness & Step Into a Purpose-filled Life
Lana Borgholthaus is a passionate personal development addict that has been solving medical problems as a physician assistant for nearly 20 years. She enjoys combining psychology, science, art, philosophy, and medicine in an innovative and holistic approach to life. Her purpose is to add value to the lives of others through the gifts and talents she has been blessed with.
In Unstuck and Unstoppable, you'll discover the underlying "disease" that keeps you stuck, stressed, or depressed. You'll explore the basic anatomy, neuroscience, physics, and philosophies as they relate to this devastating illness. Furthermore, you'll learn simple, science-based "treatments" to rid yourself of this infection so you'll move forward in life, living with your whole heart and soul!
My readers are ones who feel overwhelmed and are not achieving the desired success in life. They're not sure what life is really about. They know they have a purpose, but they haven't found it yet. They are stuck in past and can't break free, but they are reaching out for help.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
The cover (including back and spine) needs to be simple and bold -- something that will pop AND sell in Amazon's Kindle store as a thumbnail and on the bookshelf. It should be polished and very engaging.
I like block font that is bold.
I like the color green that represents "go" and growth/$ but I think that reds and yellows are also great colors -- except in the perspective of a traffic light, it is not as good of a choice, however, I do not want to exclude those colors. Blue and orange are okay to consider. I like when they're bright and bold. I also don't mind a white background, but it must have a colorful image and font.
Some image ideas that I thought of were arrows ("U" turns and/or an arrow that goes up and forward -- like going up a hill) or the U could be a pit where someone is stuck. I've seen some crazy images of people or animals being "stuck" that might be fun. Furthermore, I like the symbolism of the tortoise because it continues to move forward and wins the race over the hare. I've also seen tortoises stuck on their back.
Chains around feet that break free is also another great option.
What to avoid
No pink, black, or purple. No curvy lettering unless it is easy to read.
