How breeproffitt started their book cover journey
Jimmy is the Senior Pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church, based in Amarillo, Texas. Though, he is not your "typical" pastor. Prior to entering full-time ministry at Trinity, Jimmy spent over 25 years in business, where he managed marketing, sales, and ultimately became the president of a tech company.
Jimmy drives a Chevy Colorado (more sporty than off-road), loves to cook (and is fantastic at it), has a great sense of humor, loves to travel, and loves people (though he is an introvert himself!) he is married to Kim and they have three grown children.
Kingdom Come is a christian book about living the life you were destined to live. Heaven is not merely the place we go when we die, but it is real, close, and available to us right now - we just have to choose to live in it. It is a simple read, written for those young in their christian faith and wanting to build a strong foundation in Jesus Christ.
Males or females in their late 20s-early 30s. Either single or married with a few children, mostly living in the Texas Panhandle. Likely in the workforce to some degree, whether full-time or part-time. If they are a married couple, their names are Preston and Hannah - 28 years old, driving a Chevy Tahoe, like to drink coffee, enjoy attending sporting events with friends, are hard workers, and feel like something is missing. They need and want real friends, real connection, and everything life has to offer.

use of color (not the actual colors themselves, but the fact that it is colorful!) , unique fonts, feels friendly. I do not like the cursive font
I like that It almost feels hand-drawn
eyecatching simplicity is great. The pop of red is a cool addition to the palette.
the color and impactful, simple cover.
I like that it's text-only and has a good pop of color but is not overbearing. Modern fonts are good.
I like the handdrawn aspect.
This is playful and fun but also has the contradiction of a serious title.
It's playful and fun.
The vibrant colors here are really fun.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
We want to appeal to a millennial audience. Something colorful, with a fun, happy, dreamy mood. We like clean, sans-serif fonts. We are open to drawn imagery, something abstract, or no imagery at all.
What to avoid
stock imagery, traditional "church" imagery (i.e. crosses, heaven/cloud imagery, praying hands), lots of red, traditional fonts, cursive, literalism.
