It was a pleasure as always. :)
Hoping to work with you again soon.
How zecreative started their book cover journey
Three's A Crowd
Tierra Cox is a poet and a writer who has been writing for public audiences for the past three years on her blog on Tumblr. Crafting her tales with elements of fantasy and the paranormal, she also mixes in multicultural love. Tierra is fueled by the idea of blending the two, specifically for black women and POCs. With an educational background in creative writing, she will be graduating this fall with a Bachelors in English Literature. When she isn't writing, and that isn't often, she can be found in her Texas home catching up on any new sci-fi movies.
Romance, Fiction, Fantasy
Tierra's book is a paranormal romance about a young, black witch named Lia Babineaux who stems from a long line of powerful witches. In this world, witches stand on the Boundary between the magickal and the mortal; they keep the peace. It's been one century after The Great War between light and dark when fae and witches fought against vampires to keep the secret of their world. The vampires lost, but the wound is still festering. After the death of her mother, Lia has taken to solving magickal problems that arise with the help of her familiar, Seokjin, a demon. She soon finds herself pulled into the mystery surrounding the death of her mother, by her long-time friend and prince of the Fae Seelie court, Kibum. When she finds a gargoyle who has ties to her family as well, Lia finds that everything she thought she knew, was a lie.
Women in the US between the ages of 25 and 54.
We like the fact that it features a male and female on the cover. There are mystical elements and the font is amazing.
What we like: the layering and the font.
We would prefer not to have a cover image separation like this one.
Background elements and font.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
There is no preferred font style and since we're starting with the ebook cover, dimensions won't apply yet. There is a sexy paranormal/magical/mystical element to the book, all wrapped in romance. The heroine is a Black/African American female with naturally curly hair (can be curly hair or braids) and the hero is an East Asian man with pink eyes (hint, paranormal) with the coveted broad-shouldered small waist masculine frame. The theme is a little southern gothic witch.
What to avoid
There isn't a need to show full faces. However, if we can still incorporate the pink iris (eye), that would be great.
Example of naturally curly hair.
East Asian was really broad so here's a little bit of model insp. in Tony Chung.
