Don't Call Me A "Christian" What Does That Word Even Mean?
De'Vannon is someone who has been through many things in life which many would consider to be 'taboo'. He is very transparent about his history and struggles with HIV, Hep B, homelessness, drug dealing, drug addiction (crystal meth in particular), his 3 arrests and 3 felonies, being kicked out of Lakewood Church ( a large mega church in Houston, Texas) for being LGBTQIA, serving in the U.S. Air Force during Don't Ask Don't Tell and growing up in poverty with an abusive and adulterous father. De'Vannon hosts the Sex, Drugs & Jesus podcast also.
This is my second book. My first book included lots of details about the way the "Christian" church people did me wrong. The goal is to document how confusing the meaning of a "Christian" has become and to make it clear that although I follow Christ, I am not like mainstream "Christians" which are a hot judgmental mess. The goal is also to present a comprehensive and objective analysis of different Christian denominations.
Literally the whole world because it seems it's incredibly difficult to find someone unaffected by the major themes presented here. More specifically people who have been hurt by the church or know people who have been. Also those on a spiritual journey.
