inkitup500 got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Superhero book cover to appeal to teens

Rachel E. Taylor
Rachel E. Taylor is a homeschooled teenager that loves animals, traveling, softball and reading, especially superhero stories.
Liz Kamaka, a college freshman, has the ability to manipulate water, and even breathe underwater. She's known on the island of Maui as the superhero Whirlpool. Until the beginning of this book, all she has used her powers for is saving surfers and swimmers near a local beach in Hawaii. But that all changes when a new and sinister villain reveals themselves.
Middle and high schoolers, ages 12 and up, that love to read about superheroes
A silhouette of the hero, her hair blowing in the wind. I'd like the silhouette to be navy instead of black. On the silhouette, I think it would be cool to see a whirlpool insignia in teal. She's looking at the reader but you can't see her face, she's just a silhouette. She has a small and athletic build with long hair. I'd like her to be standing in the waves, or have the ocean behind her in some way. I'm looking for bold fonts. I'd like the style to be simple, not cluttered. I think I'd like the title at the very top, with my name directly underneath, but I'm open to other designs. Here is a Pinterest board with some cover design styles I like: https://www.pinterest.com/inkitup500/cover-ideas/ I'm thinking a mix between the Supernova cover and the Rain Reign cover.
What to avoid
I don't want flowery fonts. I would also prefer no capes.
