I adore working with Rafido. This was my 4th book cover with him. His work is beautiful, he's open to changes, solves any problems - just a pleasure to work with.
More incredible work from an amazing designer.
- Navy Thriller
- Oscar Fa
Oscar has been an extraordinary person to work with. He has a special talent and ability to convey my words into beautiful and poignant designs and is always ready, willing and able to help refine the designs as needed to ensure a quality finished product. In the course of working with Oscar the book has been picked up for a hybrid publishing deal by Little Steps Publishing and this is in no small part due to Oscar's efforts. I thank him and recommend him wholeheartedly for work going forward. I sincerely hope we will get the chance to work together again as well.
How jbendoski started their book cover journey
When the Sky Falls
Joseph Bendoski studied sociology and psychology all through college and continues to be fascinated with it today. His fictional writing explores elements of human thought through the lens of modern science and historical anecdotes.
In 1938 the War of the Worlds hoax panicked millions of Americans, then in 1988 another fictional media broadcast convinced nearly half of Portugal that sea monster had risen from the ocean to destroy their cities. A team of CIA agents was sent to study the aftermath of this 6th Sky Fall Event, in the hope that thy could turn it into a weapon of war. When the team consultant turns up dead, everyone scrambles to be the last man standing: the one who will decide if or when the sky falls.
People who enjoy contemporary thrillers, espionage thrillers, and technothrillers. Age wise it's target at adults, I think more men read the genre than women, and my initial target market will be North America.

What colors do you want to see in your design?
A couple (Adult male & female) flee a city that has been plunged into a black out. A burning radio tower is the only light coming from the city. In the distance tiny specks that are people flee in droves away from the city.
This is an illustration I commissioned for the book, but I don't love it. Feel free to use parts if you want.
