BOOK COVER that works for kindle and physical book. Title: Achieve Subtitle: Find Out Who You Are, What You Really Want, And How To Make It Happen Somewhere on the cover should be: Book 1 of The High Achievement Handbook Author: Dr. Chris Friesen, Ph.D.
This book is the first of 2-3 books in a series (book 1 of The High Achievement Handbook). This first book is a self-help/how-to/step-by-step book that helps you figure out who you are (e.g., your personality, values, strengths), what you really want (e.g., values mission/purpose), make goals based on these, and then how to make it happen on a day-to-day basis (e.g., time management/productivity). It’s written in relatively plain language and has a no-nonsense, straight to the point style and is geared toward people serious about high achievement (e.g., elite athletes, entrepreneurs, executives, professionals, writers, etc.). It's based on science, my own experience, and my work with high achievers (I'm a neuropsychologist/sport/performance psychologist). -Although my logo and website are blue, grey-sliver, and white (friesenperformance.com) and it may be nice if a cover could be made that is generally congruent with this, the colours don't have to be these. Looking at an old email, this may be the exact colour for my logo but not 100% sure: Cyan = 100%, Magenta = 38% (or 0.3765 if you can be exact), Yellow = 0%, Black = 33%. -I really like relatively plain but commanding covers and I seem to be attracted to red and white when I searched for covers that I liked. -Some covers I like include: The Millionaire Messenger Adam Grant's Give and Take The Power of the Educated Patient (see it here: http://happyselfpublishing.com/book-covers/) Mitch Matthews' Ignite Daniel Pink's Drive Candiya Mann's On Grief, Hope, and Motorcycles I like many of Malcolm Gladwell's covers like Outliers (but I feel they may be too plain) Russ Harris' The Confidence Gap Tim Grover's Relentless All that being said, I'm open to what people come up with. What I don't like are the cartoony characters, cheap looking stock photos, or the cogs within a brain graphic-type images that everyone seems to be using (e.g., Hyper by G. Steffine: http://www.amazon.com/Hyper-Changing-execute-business-intelligence/dp/0692423087/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1458179621&sr=1-1&keywords=hyper+business+intelligence)
