The Secrets of Stonecavern
Laura wrote this book for her nieces and nephews. To encourage them to touch, see, and believe in the magic that exists around them, and to never let go of the hope and determination it takes to achieve their dreams.
What if I told you there was a secret object, that if it fell into the wrong hands, would change a magical land forever? Enchantment abounds in the dragon’s lair of Stonecavern and when an accidental unearthing of the crystals leads to an impulsive act of thievery, an unlikely group of heroes embark on a quest to save them. Humphrey, an adventurous pig, Titan, a strong and courageous horse, and Roxanne and Freddy two fun loving goats join Dawn, a shy and mistrustful dragon to reclaim the crystals from the Dark Elven Lord, Voroc.
Children 8 - 13 yrs old.
Book cover type
Don’t know yet
I'd like to include the characters on their adventure as my cover. Perhaps the animals looking up at the massive peak of Stonecavern at the start of their quest. The scene should be wintery but it should portray a sense of adventure! They should be fun and life like, that sort of resembles a Disney animated movie. The characters must look young and appealing to kids. Characters below: Humphrey: an adventurous pig, Titan: a strong and courageous horse, and Roxanne and Freddy: two fun loving goats join Dawn: a shy and mistrustful dragon to reclaim the crystals from the Dark Elven Lord, Voroc. (The dragon should be broad, not long and skinny.) At one point, the dragon carries to two goats on their back. The horse also carries the pig on his back as well. These two characters would be big and brawny by comparison. To show their size proportions correctly would be good.
What to avoid

Jelena is absolutely amazing.
Not only her eye is incredible, but she is also extremely able to listen to a writer's needs, and adapt. I couldn't recommend her more.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
