Accounting & Financial
You're probably in debt. I am. Most Americans are. We all secretly stress about it and feel bad. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist. It's my dream job, but it came with a nightmare price tag of $230,000. After graduating, despite having work I loved, my debt was really messing me up. I used all my clinical psychology knowledge, the same I use with clients fighting depression, anxiety disorders, or getting clean, to help myself put my debt in perspective and to confront it more effectively. This book is a distillation of my approach into an easy to follow 4 week program. Here's the kicker -- I plan on releasing the book for free on a donation only basis because I don't want to profit off of people in debt. Looking forward to working with you! Book Title: How to Breathe Underwater Subtitle: Find Relief While in Debt.
What's your vision?
Book Title: How To Breath Underwater Subtitle: Find Relief While In Debt I need a simple, mostly monochromatic book cover design with a simple design done in silhouettes or very simple imagery. See my attached designs. The title and subtitle need to be clear (probably goes without saying...) I do not have an idea for a graphic on the front. I'd love for you to be creative here. I think a simple silhouette graphic would add a lot. I imagine the title (How To Breath Underwater) is the most easy to translate into an image, but if you have any other creative ideas that can incorporate debt/finance into the graphic please do so! I also want to avoid a lot of self-help book cliches (awkward author photo, vague new age swirls, cheesy fonts, "inspiring" nature imagery.) Please see the attached photos for ideas of what I want to avoid. I'm drawn to softer, cooler colors like blues and greens. Less drawn to warmer reds, yellows, and oranges.
Because this is a donation only book, it has to look professional. I imagine the only way people will think to give money is if a) this book really helps and b) they're surprised as heck they didn't pay for it. As such, I want it to look hip, slick, polished. (I understand that using the word "hip" repeatedly is not, in fact, "hip" at all.) Please see the examples I've attached for an idea of what I'm looking for. They're titled "Great Cover." I've also attached images of what I do not want. They're titled "Bad Cover."
