Your Best Life with Ankylosing Spondylitis
Dr. Andrew Cummins
I have lived with the chronic inflammatory disease Ankylosing Spondylitis for over 25 years. After 7 years of prescription drugs and opioid painkiller dependence, I am drug-free and better than ever. I now specialize in Ankylosing Spondylitis utilizing a functional medicine approach.
Your Best Life with Ankylosing Spondylitis is a book about the chronic inflammatory disease Ankylosing Spondylitis, my journey living with the disease, research on the underlying causes of the disease, and my functional medicine approach to addressing the causes of the symptoms of the disease.
The 7 - 8 million people worldwide who have been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, people who think they may have Ankylosing Spondylitis, and family members of people with Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Book cover type
Book Title: Your Best Life with Ankylosing Spondylitis Subtitle: Drastically Reduce Pain and Stiffness, Conquer Anxiety, Improve Digestive Health, and Overcome Chronic Fatigue Picture of the Author Author’s Name: Dr. Andrew Cummins The goal of the book is to stand out on the Amazon platform as a small thumbnail, as well as a 5.5 x 8.5 book with 72” spine. Making sure all text is within a minimum margin on all sides of .5 inches, and apply .125" of bleed on all sides. Per who I am having format the book: “Cover designers sometimes do the cover, spine, and back cover/page altogether , and then they adjust the overall size and spine width when the interior file design is done and the exact spine width is known based on final page count. If you go that route - actually whichever way you go - be sure the artist gives you the "source" file as well as jpg or PDF outputs.” The cover should make the viewer feel that the book (and the author) are the authority on the topic of Ankylosing Spondylitis. The reader should feel that they must have this book if they have Ankylosing Spondylitis. It’s more important that the book “pops off the shelf” or stands out and catches the eye quickly. Here are a few words that come to mind when thinking of my book: Clear, modern, clean, professional. I like bold titles that you know right away what the title is and what it is about, not too busy and with simple color schemes. 2 - 3 colors. Especially black or red titles with a white background with the picture being a picture of the author. Books with covers I like the style of are: Coronavirus and Covid-19 by Peter Kent Fat for Fuel by Dr. Joseph Mercola Grain Brain by David Perlmutter, MD In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan Genius Foods by Max Lugavere Start By Believing by John Barr and Dan Murphy The Dubrow Diet by Heather Dubrow & Terry Dubrow, MD *I want the title at the top of the book: Your Best Life with Ankylosing Spondylitis standing out the most in red with a white background. Then underneath the title the subtitle: Drastically Reduce Pain and Stiffness, Conquer Anxiety, Improve Digestive Health, and Overcome Chronic Fatigue in black and a smaller font than the title, especially so that the title stands out more. Underneath the subtitle: My picture standing in the grey suit. Underneath my picture: Dr. Andrew Cummins in black. I want this to stand out, but not more than the title. It can stand out more than the subtitle, but not the title. ***I have my picture for the cover attached. ***I also have an example of the paperback book/ebook cover attached.
