Juan Arte ist das Pseudonym eines österreichischen Autors, der in den 1980er-Jahren in Wien aufwuchs und derzeit hauptberuflich als Beamter tätig ist. Bei Pyramidenspiel handelt es sich um seinen Debütroman. Neben dem Lesen und Schreiben von Büchern be-geistert sich Juan Arte für Reisen mit seiner Familie, Tennis und Pokern.

The book is a dystopic novel, takes place in the year 2084. It is about a society, in which every person has a chip implanted in their arm, which records all of his life for the sake of a social credit system. The Name „Pyramidenspiel“ means literally „game of pyramids“, which is the german word for ponzi scheme. This is, because in the book is said, that the whole society works like a pyramid.
