A Change of Plans
Leah Cupps is a serial entreprenuer and author. Along with her husband she runs several successful start ups while managing the demands of a household of three children. She spends any spare time she can find writing stories that transport her readers into a fun and exciting reality.
Recently widowed Sydney boards a plane to Jamaica, en route to the lavish wedding of her best friend Marissa. Depressed and anxious, she takes a sleeping pill to help her survive the flight. But when she wakes up, she hasn’t landed into the tropical paradise of the Jamaican islands. Instead, she is face to face with the lead investigator for Homeland Security locked inside the four walls of the Atlanta airport’s interrogation room. As she pieces back together the events of her flight, she also discovers that someone from her past isn’t quite who she thought he was. On the hunt for more answers, she is joined by freshly christened undercover agent Alex, who becomes her unexpected date for the wedding. As they navigate lavish parties and mysterious beach encounters, Sydney and Alex must get the answers they need quickly, before it's too late.
Women ages 30-60, house wives, women who read other thrillers, mystery and suspense novels.
Book cover type
I'm looking for a cover that fits the thriller/mystery genre. I think it would be interesting to see two different directions--one that is a dark book with white letterheading and a shadowy/mysterious image. And another option that has more of the beach read--blue ocean look to it but still says 'thriller'. I really like San Serif font choices.
What to avoid
Anything that would look dated. I want this to be modern, fresh and focus on the bold title. Try to make it look more sexy-serious, than harlequin romance. NO male bodies.
