Paul Ferguson is in his late 40s, and has been writing for fun on various platforms for decades. Having gone through a lengthy diagnosis process for Autism, he has more recently turned his love of writing and research towards helpful articles and social media support for people in a similar situation. This has become somewhat of a passion for Paul and has now evolved into a writing project to dwarf all previous dabbling’s… Paul has immersed himself into the world of adulting for people on the spectrum in a neurotypical dominated world. Drawing on his own personal experience and a lifetime of trial and error development of successful techniques and coping mechanisms, his experience and research has allowed him to figure out what works and what definitely doesn't. Whilst Autistic people display a vast array of differences, there are many commonalities that mean anybody on the spectrum can much more successfully understand the battles and obstacles that others experience on a daily basis. He has decided to produce this series of books to cover all of the major aspects of living and growing as an Autistic adult. Paul has spent over four decades experimenting with different approaches to a mired of life’s challenges and has found success in many areas due to a tenacious and a thorough process that recognizes how masking can be used positively whilst not allowing it to take over and become exhausting and detrimental to both physical and mental wellbeing. In recent years Paul has qualified and worked as a trainer, teaching adults in the workplace how to better themselves in the world of employment. Whilst carrying out this training, he became ever more interested in adapting this work and tailoring it to those with Autism, recognizing that regardless of a formal diagnosis, the challenges that we face in the working environment, whilst very real, can be overcome and turned into positive opportunities for personal growth and to help us succeed both inside and outside of our places of employment. Paul returned to the peace of his hometown and lives in a Lincolnshire suburb in Northern England. ● What’s the author’s motivation behind writing this book? Ferguson knows the struggles of living with autism and doesn’t want others to experience the same. He wants to help autistic adults in similar situations to get out of their shells and succeed in life.
