Our mission to help people accelerate their learning through technology. This is my "business card" book.
What's your vision?
We’re releasing a Kindle book (title: subtitle) “Effortless Reading: The simple ways to read and guarantee remarkable result”. The cover (including the back and spine) needs to be simple and bold - something that will pop in Amazon’s Kindle store as a thumbnail and on the bookshelf. The book is 5.5 x 8.5. The spine will be about 0.5”. Description of the book: The book offers a new approach to reading non-fiction. By applying this simple method, you will, one again, in control of your self-development. 4X your reading with half the effort. No speed reading skill required. The book cover should feel professional, friendly, simple and lean. It shall not need many photography or images. And it should be easy to read. It should make the reader feel like the contents of the book are accessible and easy to consume. I've attached a sample book cover that I created. This sample should provide you with some visual direction for my design. However, please feel free to get creative with my choice of colours, fonts and images. A note that the title/subtitle should be big enough so it could be read when viewers are browsing in Amazon Kindle store (cover will show as a small thumbnail). The contest is guaranteed. It's blind to ensure fairness between contestants. The winner will be chosen within two weeks.
== Update 09/19 == The way I'm using stars is to mark the progress and how close it is to the finalist. Most of the potential design will start with one, or two. As you iterate, it should get higher. 4-5 stars are 99% to be finalists. ==================== If you are the winner, I would like to have all the materials, including the .psd (or other file/tool you are using) as we might add or remove one word in the sub-title. I might request the 3D version or book stack to ensure it looks great as marketing image as well. Here are two links to book covers I like, one white, one black: http://www.amazon.com/The-ONE-Thing-Surprisingly-Extraordinary/dp/1885167776 http://www.amazon.com/Relentless-Unstoppable-Tim-S-Grover/dp/1476714207/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1442581117&sr=1-1&keywords=relentless More details of the book for reference: The book is a short guide to becoming an efficient non-fiction reader. It is an accelerator for those who are self-taught and want to up their game with reading. Instead of conventional speed read method, the book focuses on pragmatic principles that help maximize efficiency with minimal effort. The reader will learn to: • Decode the three overlooked truths that cost majority of non-fiction readers years of reading • Discover deliberated reading approach - a simple technique that immediately 4X the effectiveness of reading. • Understand the fundamental of learning from the book and beyond.
