Great project - Omake really understood what we wanted to achieve, had great attention to detail and addressed my feedback quickly and with minimal rounds of review. Thank you!
How eod.erin started their book cover journey
Wait for the Light
Four years ago, I quit my job to focus on writing full-time. As a kid, I read and wrote stories so obsessively that I neglected my schoolwork. And here I am as an adult, still skipping the more serious stuff to write stories. I live in Columbus, Ohio with my husband, Chad, and my two dogs, Chilly and Lizzy.
Alexis Rader takes a job with felon gangsta rapper Rottie Wiles. Rottie’s hated for his crime: running a Miami dog-fighting ring. For Alex, the pay's too good to care. Then one night a pit bull collides with her car and everything changes. Alex takes a closer look at her new boss and suspects he’s back to his old ways. She plunges into Miami's underground crime world, digging for clues. There, she’s confronted with her own dark past. Can she find redemption, or will the darkness consume her?
Women, dog-lovers, young adults, and anyone looking for a fun beach read.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
UPDATE6/29: I'm looking for a bit of an art-deco feel. A drawing, not a photo, perhaps a silhouette or not a highly detailed drawing. Elements I would like include a stoplight, a palm tree, a somewhat fashionable young woman walking a pit bull-like dog. Bold color in the background. Someone asked what my character looks like. Here's a description: Alexis is slender (not rail-thin) and medium height with shoulder-length brown hair. She's attractive, but in a plain way--none of her features are outstandingly gorgeous. She wears designer clothes, and her style is more classic than trendy.
What to avoid
Stock imagery. The color lime green. Intricate, old fashioned fonts.
