We need a cover for the personal development book we have written, entitled "Say Hello to Happiness". The cover should convey an uplifting feeling of happiness, joy, hope and positivity. It should appeal to an audience aged 17 years and upwards.
To appeal to adults, the cover needs to look mature, powerful, important and wise, whilst still being positive, uplifting and illuminating. The best example I have found of this is the cover of "You Can Create An Exceptional Life" by Louise Hay and Cheryl Richardson. http://www.amazon.com/You-Can-Creat
I love how the white light emanates from the centre of the page, which represents how the book will illuminate the reader's life and help create a brighter future. Although red, yellow and blue are used, they are not primary colours... more like burgundy, gold and aqua... again contributing to the adult feeling of the cover. The large lettering gives the feeling that the book is powerful, important and transformative. The traditional serif font creates a mature, adult vibe, balanced with "exceptional" in cursive to give a friendly personal touch.
Front cover: Must include the title "Say Hello to Happiness", the by-line "31 days to a happier, more joyful life" and the authors' names "Michael Adamedes and Robert Prior".
Spine: "SAY HELLO TO HAPPINESS <space> MICHAEL ADAMEDES & ROBERT PRIOR <space> PORPOISE PRESS" and the Porpoise Press logo [attached].
Back cover: Must include the Porpoise Press logo [attached] and the barcode [attached]. Here is the back cover text:
Can you imagine a life free of worry and stress? How would it feel to lead a secure, prosperous life filled with love and joy?
Say Hello to Happiness offers a proven thirty-one day path to happiness and fulfilment. Whilst the book’s presentation is fun, uplifting and informative, the content is transformative as it communicates directly to the unconscious mind.
If the thirty-one affirmations in this book are absorbed one day at a time, as intended, you will experience:
• an increased sense of self-worth
• more harmonious relationships
• significantly lower levels of stress
• a sustained zest for life!
This extraordinary book reveals, for the first time, the three primal self-limiting beliefs that underlie unhappiness. The result of thirty years of psychological detective work by the innovative psychotherapist, Michael Adamedes, the book was developed in collaboration with Robert Prior, an inspirational teacher and founder of Australia’s leading tuition college for secondary school students.
Say Hello to Happiness heralds a breakthrough in the understanding of the fundamental causes of stress and unhappiness, and provides renewed hope for the individual and humanity as a whole.
