To Those Upon the Hill
Bookworm turned author, T.A. Denson, is a California State University- Northridge alumni hoping to change someone's world one classroom, one philosophy discussion, or one book at a time. Born in Alabama, now residing in sunny Southern California, and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, T.A. Denson has seen and lived several walks of life and is always desperate to learn about many more. As such, she focuses on the fundamental questions of life and personhood, packing and unpacking them in complex characters and pages. She believes everyone has a story and struggle that should be heard, written, or read.
Thrust into an unfamiliar, corrupt world, our protagonist must construct her own character and idea of justice while spiraling further down a modern-day rabbit hole and meeting new characters on stages just like hers. With morals skewed and life on the line, our protagonists in To Those Upon the Hill explore what it means to be watched, to be right, and, above all, to be human.
Young adults (16-30) Those looking to explore and find themselves despite adversity Any confused about their identity or looking to make a difference
Book cover type
To Those Upon the Hill is a heavy-hitting, emotional dystopian fiction so the mood of the cover should be serious in nature with more realistic artwork. The book is written from three different perspectives, mostly in journal form so the font should be something seemingly handwritten (but not cursive since cursive is a bit too fancy). The protagonist on the cover is a girl of cover and though there are theater lights on her, her back is to us. Please ensure to keep skin tone (a medium brown) in mind while considering lighting.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at $299.
