At the age of 27, Danielle Corbett bought her first home. While she thought she was prepared for the venture, she quickly realized that she had grossly underestimated how much money she would need. In this book, Danielle shares what no one tells you (not even your parents) - things to know before purchasing a home, how to better manage your money as a new homeowner, and tips for smoothly transitioning into your new role as a homeowner.
Managing Your Money As A New Homeowner is a non-fiction book which aims to teach aspiring and new homeowners ways they can financially prepare for homeownership and tips for better managing their money early on so they don't go broke during this process.

I'm thinking a black women (me) sitting on the roof of a house looking out at the audience (stary night or bright blue sky). She's confident and ready to share what she's learned. Or a she's in an empty room with boxes and Chinese food. Painting the scene of what it's like as a new homeowner. Mood is less serious. I want this book to be casual and relatable. Like a friend telling you what she's learned over a drink at a brewery.
What to avoid
Avoid literal translations of stock imagery of houses. Avoid money signs or dollars on the color. I'd like this to be a fun translation of personal finance.
