Check out PrepMe Law School's Book cover contest…
Issue Spotting is an eBook to help pre-law students and law students not only understand law school exams but also succeed on law school exams. To discuss briefly: Legal writing professors teach law students to dissect the law-school hypothetical (exam) into a formula: Issue, Rule of law and Rule Explanation, Analysis, Defense, and Conclusion (IRAC). This formula is not exhaustive, but the formula provides a framework for law students to examine a hypothetical case. An issue is the legally significant facts that bring the parties to court. The rule of law is a law the court used to guide its decision. The rule explanation elaborates on any vague terms, policy analysis, and the past usage from the court. The analysis applies the rules to the facts. The defense discusses any counterarguments. And, the conclusion summarizes the outcome. Therefore, this book will examine the law school exam: one section at a time. This eBook offers 10 exams and 10 answers on criminal law issue spotting. I will write a 15-book series with diverse law-school subjects around these three categories: (1) Issue Spotting, (2) Rule of law and Rule Explanation, and (3) Application, Defense, and Conclusion. This eBook is the first book in the series.
