Vanessa lives in Idaho with her family where she explores the rugged mountains that help make up the landscapes in her books. She's an avid photographer and loves fresh homemade bread. Be the first to hear about her latest books by joining her tribe. Visit www.vanessathurgood.com and click join!
Will Nienna choose to join her family’s greatest enemy and fight for what’s right, or hide her gift and pray the dark creatures never find her? All Nienna wanted was to live her own life, free of the clutches of her mother, and castle life. What she got was more than she bargained for. The Earth Guardian wakes from his deep sleep just as dark creatures close in on Nienna and her friends. Now that the fabled power to control the earth element had reappeared, creatures of darkness converge trying to put out the Earthspark and set the Fire Witch free from her prison. Nienna has to decide whether she will accept her newfound power and join the Earth Guardian in stopping the Fire Witch, or remain a teacher, forever wondering if she could have been more than her parents’ second born. The Earthspark is the first novel in the Comstock Chronicles. It is a clean Young Adult epic fantasy that will take you on a journey of magic, family, and love in a roman/medieval setting. Fans of the Ravenwood Saga and the Beyonders will find a new favorite in The Earthspark.
A mom looking for a clean epic fantasy adventure.
Book cover type
I want a cover that shows the fantasy aspects of my book in an eye catching way. Common font styles include Cinzel decorative. This book takes place in the mountains and forests in a rugged area. Main character can use the Earthspark, which emits a green glow. She fights with a staff that has a blade on the end. Silver and emeralds are the metal and stones of choice for my characters. Giant black birds work with the Fire Witch to bring her the things she needs.
What to avoid
Please avoid blocky fonts.
