Very responsive and communicative designer with great talent in illustration and poster design!
- Andrei Bat
Andrei did an amazing job on my book cover. When I first got in touch with him, I was unsure of what I wanted for my cover. He provided many mock-up covers and from there I was able to get a better idea as to which covers I liked and which I didn't. I'm very pleased with how he captured the mood of the story through the use of colors and the models' body language. He's very flexible and has a very quick turnaround time. I'll definitely have him design the covers for my future works.
A tremendously creative artist with a clear desire and intent to please his clients. His design for the poster for our film was a quick, early favorite among those we polled prior to solidifying our choice to declare him a winner.

How monicacorwin started their book cover journey
Monica Corwin is an outspoken writer attempting to make romance accessible to everyone, no matter their preferences. As a Northern Ohioan, Monica enjoys snow drifts, three seasons of weather, and a dislike of Michigan football. When not writing Monica spends time with her daughter and her ever growing collection of Arthurian Legend tomes.
This is an adult urban fantasy book that centers around a paranormal doomsday clock, and the curmudgeonly sorcerer who guards the balance between the magical and non-magical.
Adults ages 25-65 in English speaking countries. Those who enjoy Jim Butcher, Ann Bishop, Patricia Briggs, etc
I like the balance between detail and simple. Also the uniform color scheme and the on pointe typography.
I like the focus.
I like the awesome effects and uniform color scheme.
This fit with my story. Dark and gritty.
I like the cohesion of magic and non-magic in this image.
I just liked this one.
Something dark and mysterious in everyday setting.
Definitely drew some inspiration from the TV show The Magicians.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
The story is kind of a gritty look at a disgruntled and forgotten sorcerer's life. A terrible event occurs resulting in him having to come out of retirement to restore the balance between the magical and non-magic forces of nature. You could also include his young female companion as long as it's not in a romantic way...she is his familiar. I have a ton of credits on Deposit Photo as well if anything appeals there I can provide imagery if need be. Im also really drawn to great typography so that will be the selling factor for me. One important feature I need the cover to convey is the fact that the character has magical ability or uses magic. Needs to be an obvious thing to a reader glancing through covers or else a cover of this style might read "thriller" Here is a Pinterest Board if that does anything for you: https://www.pinterest.com/bibliophi…s-balance/

The deliverable will be a high resolution jpg or png that is 2813 by 4500 pixels. I don't need the design files as a deliverable.
What to avoid
No romantic or soft elements. I don't like straight illustration unless it's very well done.
