Erudite's cover design was a perfect fit for my story, and was very responsive to updates in the brief as the contest went along.

50 Things You Can Do For Your Dog's Health and Happiness
Dr. Edward Tuk
Dr. Edward Tuk is an award-winning veterinarian who has treated over 50,000 dogs in his veterinary clinic.
Originally from Costa Rica, Dr. Tuk spends time in both Costa Rica and the United States, working in a private veterinary clinic and also working pro bono in connection with numerous dog show events.
He is also a principal and senior advisor at Canine Sciences, a leading developer of canine nutritional products.
When he’s not working, Dr. Tuk relaxes with his family – notably his dogs Amira and Oscar.
This book includes a wide variety of tips and tricks about how to make your dog healthy and happy. These ideas have been developed by a veterinarian after years of hands-on experience, and dog lovers are sure to discover some great tricks that they and their dogs will love.
This book is designed for dog owners and lovers in the US and elsewhere! The audience will probably be more female than male, and probably skewing to a slightly older (30s thru 60s) demographic.
We will sell on Amazon, and direct to customers (as a PDF). We are primarily interested in the design for the PDF version.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
The cover should be enticing, a bit playful, and should include a very cute photo of one or more dogs - we want to evoke an emotional response of 'How cute!!!' while also conveying credibility for the content.
What to avoid
If we use the photo of Dr. Tuk (the author) on the cover (which I would be inclined NOT to do), it should be small.
