The design done for my ebook cover was fantastic. Not only were the instructions in my brief 100% followed, but the cover design was extremely creative and fit exactly within the realm of what I was trying to describe but couldn't quite visualize myself. We did 1 iteration, simply because I wanted to try a minor change - but the original design itself was exactly what I was looking for!
How sendtoatc started their book cover journey
Adam T. Croft
Adam T. Croft is a devoted audio and software professional out of Seattle, WA. He is snobbish about BBQ, and commits to ridiculous ideas. You can find his rants and work at adamtcroft.com
This book is for people wanting to get a career in game audio. It teaches personable "soft skills" and strategies to learn what you need to get a job in said career.
A male college student, or someone older who is looking to change careers to "something fun" because they like video games.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
I would love if you would follow something similar to the color palette on my website (grey, white, maroon, #917b00). The original (bad) cover I made myself uses work gloves and tools to emphasize hard work. It doesn't need those images, but I would like the cover to evoke something serious/hardworking/committed.
What to avoid
I don't mind including audio tropes (i.e.: "audio meters", headphones, microphones, etc.) but please be creative with it if you're going to use it. Don't just slap that iconography on there and call it good.
