Nancy Z. Everist
Nancy and her husband, Michael, live in the Hill Country of Texas with their two dogs. They are avid hikers who enjoy the beauty and solace of the outdoors. Nancy is passionate about seeing others gain the freedom she has found in her own life. She has served as counselor, friend and mentor to many over the past 35 years. She and her husband, Michael, travel and speak about their journey as they walk with others into a place of personal freedom.
The author's story of living in an abusive, demonic environment and her journey into freedom and learning how to walk in and keep her freedom.
Those who have been wounded by abuse, pain, loss and demonic spiritual attack.
Book cover type
I see the cover as dark and foreboding with subtle demonic entities woven into the darkness. In the middle of this scene, I see a small, plain wooden table with a piece of parchment on it with faint unreadable writing on it. Over the writing has been stamped in bold block upper case red letters "ACCEPTED" with the stamp leaning on its side above the mark it left, with subtle blood drop(s) running down the stamp. The stamp is an old time wooden stamp. Shining down on the table from above is a soft golden light (not a bright blazing light) focused on the paper, which is on the table top, which is in the middle of the dark entities who are being driven back from both the light and the blood stained stamp, their faces are turned away and their hands are shriveling back as if they have lost grasp of the paper. I want the darkness to be blended out and subtle, with the focus being on that stamp that declares for all to see that you have been ACCEPTED. Then off center of the stamp, still on the parchment, is written in either red or black block letters the rest of the title "God Heals a Broken Heart." The color schemes are dark for the area around the wooden table, the brown of the desktop and stamp, the yellowed parchment, the soft glow of the warm light shining on the parchment and the vivid deep red of the stamped words and the underside of the stamp laying on its side both declaring ACCEPTED. I would like the scene of darkness wrapping around the the back of the book depicting demons raging at their loss but done in a subtle fashion.
What to avoid
I don't want this to be clip artsy or cartoonish. I want it to be as real as possible and detailed.
