Onironauta was extremely patient and responsive. He was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him highly.
Provided a design consistent with another design he did for me. I am very pleased.
Lysyee met the brief exactly, producing exactly the kind of high quality book cover I was hoping for. She responded to all feedback and made all requested amendments promptly. I'd work with lysyee again. Highly recommended.

I am a writer, editor and newspaper columnist.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Book cover/jacket. “There Were Children in This House: Selected Stories from Thinking Allowed” is a collection of previously published newspaper columns that tell the everyday-life stories of happy parents raising two daughters from birth (beginning in 1983) through college graduation and marriage. The stories, while often humorous, are also poignant; the author-father’s recurring theme is the unstoppable passage of time. I am open to any ideas for the cover, but images that might provide inspiration include a rural house at dusk with all the interior lights on; a porch swing; girls’ driveway toys including tricycles, bicycles, a basketball goal and driveway-chalk drawings; a backyard playhouse on elevated posts with a sandbox beneath; a family minivan; a rural mailbox; hair bows, leotards and dance shoes; red-and-white cheerleader pom-pons; a patient golden retriever; a big pot of chili simmering on the stove; a new father taking his infant daughter for a walk at sunset; rocking chair at bedtime; 80s-era lunch boxes (New Kids on the Block, Barbie, etc.); a red high-school graduation cap-and-gown hanging from a closet door or draped across a bed; car taillights receding out of sight; a blooming crepe myrtle tree viewed through the window of a brightly lit sun room; a backyard swing set. I can provide reference photos for some of these upon request.
The photos I've attached are only for purposes of generating ideas and
to present the girls' personalities. I don't necessarily see using any
of them for the book cover. The older house was from the teenage
years. The other house (the B&W photo) is from their early childhood.
I can round up more photos of that house if someone chooses to go in
