Harvesting Earthlings For Fun and Profit
Philip Raymond Brown
Philip Raymond Brown lives in Colorado with his fabulous wife Sarah, four wonderful children and two good dogs. He has his B.A. in History and Political Science from LeMoyne College and his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law.
In this sequel to the best selling novel, “It Gives You Strength” by Philip Raymond Brown, alien anthropologist Tashan Zho returns to the planet Earth during the height of the depression, May 1934. Zho is now a refugee from his once idyllic home planet Dagan, which is now ruled by a brutal dictator, who seeks to harvest the primitive Earthlings to be used as, among other things, gladiators in a futuristic version of the Roman Coliseum. Zho’s mission is to foil all efforts to enslave the people of Earth while restoring the legitimate government of Dagan. To protect the Earthlings, Zho illicits the aid of World War One Hero and former bootlegger, Major Mike Kelly (ret.). Throughout the novel Zho and Kelly interact with both fictional characters and actual historic figures such as J. Edgar Hoover, Edith Cavell, former heavyweight boxing champ Jack Dempsey, and mobsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, and Pretty Boy Floyd. The book, a mashup of science fiction, historical fiction and fantasy, is set in Washington DC, NY, Chicago and the distant, fictional planet Dagan.
Fans of science fiction, historical fiction and fantasy. Although I do not market these books as YA, I make sure that they are suitable for my 12 year old daughter. I have received favorable reviews from readers ages 10-70 plus.
