How yasudasa started their book cover journey
Catherine Markwell is the author behind FORTESCUES. An avid reader, she is happiest with her nose in a book and a cup of tea in her hand.
when she isn't reading, she is writing or thinking about writing.
John Fortescue is a successful businessman who owned a very well respected luxury, boutique hotel in a beautiful corner of England.
He had suffered a terrible personal tragedy when both his son and grandson, along with their wives had been killed in a pileup on a fog- shrouded highway.
They had left behind one tiny girl who was being cared for by her aunt Cecily.
Over time he recognized that Cecily had become so entrenched in the raising of this little girl along with working in the Hotel she had no personal life as such.
He devised a very devious plan to remedy that worrying situation. He would offer FORTESCUES for sale. His hope was that such a prize would attract the perfect husband for Cecily and the perfect father for Emily.

What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
Create atmosphere of spring or summer English countryside - beautiful flowers and trees.
In the background a simple but elegant, light sandstone, large and relatively modern, luxury hotel, set in the beautiful English spring or summer countryside. A small, dark haired, girl, holding a teddy bear by one arm - bottom right hand corner.
Or totally surprise me with your great ideas . . . . . I am open to your creative genius.
What to avoid
The hotel is simple, fairly modern and luxurious - so
1. No chimneys or balconies or castle like features.
2. No old or ivy or moss covered buildings
3. No city vibes
Prefer flowing font - but am open to your design ideas.
Important - This is the first in a series.
