eugene.the.kim got their new book cover by running a design contest:

Mobility and Mindfulness Work of the Day (MnMwod) is the personal project of Eugene Kim, a doctor-in-training. Enclosed within the MnMwod umbrella is the On Death podcast, and the Long Form Sundays weekly reflections of Eugene and his experiences in medical school.
What's your vision?
I need a book cover for a self-published kindle piece, a collection of my long form reflections written during my first year of medical school. Have not yet determined a title, but can utilize this as a working title: "On the education of a physician (or Long Form Sundays: MS1)" My focus is primarily on medical education and life as a student seen through a lens of mindfulness. The works can be found in its entirety at mnmwod.com I imagine a clean and simple two-tone cover, similar to the logos and designs attached (see below), that would help convey a sense of practical simplicity. You are free to be creative. Please include my name, the working title, and keep to the logo aesthetic (you are free to include the MnMwod logo on the cover or visually reference it).
This is going to be the first of at least four kindle collections, of my future writings. I would like a cohesive theme that can be carried into the future, for following year publications. I have attached the current branding images and logos for my project, I would like the cover design to build upon and enhance the existing ecosystem of logos and images associated with my project.

And then… they selected a winner!
I have worked with Liana on many projects now and this is one of my favorites. She always does a brilliant job but this one was a little extra special.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
